18 WHEELER ACCIDENTS
Many 18 wheeler or semi accidents occur, because the driver has driven too many hours. The driver is tired and not as alert as he should be.

There are also stringent rules and laws about the mechanical condition of the truck, and many times maintenance on a truck is ignored so it can be kept on the road.

DESIGN DEFECTS
Some big trucks have design defects. For example, the back of the truck has a “cowcatcher” for lack of a better term, but the sides of American trucks do not have a cowcatcher, so you can go underneath the truck and be seriously injured.
One client had 14 surgeries in 5 weeks, because of the lack of a cowcatcher. Other design defects or braking defects etc. can exist.
